The prolific batting all-rounder of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, which his side leads 2-1 with the fifth and final One Day International to be played at Gros Islet, St Lucia today, March 25, 2012.
West Indies has not won a series against the mighty Aussies since 1995 but Pollard is hopeful his side will turn the tables this time around by making the lead 3-1 tonight.
"We will try to win the series 3-1. We are already up 2-1 and we cannot lose the series but we want to finish with a win. We have worked really hard to get here and we want to go all the way. The job is not yet done," insisted the 24-year-old Trinidad all-rounder while speaking to the media reporters ahead of the series decider.
In the previous game at the same Gros Islet venue, the hosts rode on Pollard’s whirlwind 102 off just 70 balls to set a competitive 294, after being sliced to 146 for 5 in 36th over. The Trinidad hard-hitter shared a nearly century stand with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andre-Dwayne-Russell-c44235 for the sixth wicket in the next 10 overs to put the side on course to a competitive score, before the Windies attack bundled the tourists out for 252 in the 47th over of the chase.
The hard-hitting number six batsman said that a series win against the World No. 1 ODI side would be a great boost for not only the players but also for the Caribbean cricket.
"A series win against a higher-ranked team like Australia would be great, not only for the players, but also for the fans who come out and support us. Hopefully on Sunday, we can go out there and do the job for each and every one of them. Their support means a lot to us," he added further. 
With a tally of 189 runs in four innings at an average of 63, Pollard is leading the series' runs chart.
The Australian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Watson-c2558, also lauded Pollard for his match winning performances in the series so far and said that the Trinidad all-rounder has been the difference between the two sides.
