WeDict for ipod touch ?

I downloaded it and then downloaded english to french dictionary , and it works fine but when i click on the speak button ( the button that pronounces it ) it doesn't have any sound at all . Can you help me?

  1. All right. Well first of all make sure that your headphones are plugged in :) Just kidding. I know your not that stupid.

    To make pronunciation work in WeDict, you need to install the sound (.wav) files for each word you would like to pronounce. This can be very costly on storage space because a set of 20,000 or more word-pronounciation files will be over 150mb. If you still would like to install the sound files, then you can find the sound files with a simple google search. Maybe "20,000 French words" or "French words sound files" or something else along those lines. The dictionary that you downloaded just did not come with pronunciation built in.

    It was a little hard to answer this question, because I am not sure what firmware you are on, or if your ipod is jailbroken or not. If it is not jailbroken, then you probably will not be able to fix the problem.

  2. most application that have voices only come through the speakers of the iphone, i have had many application that say things but none of them work, i think its just the speaker.
