Weak duck?

Question

today when i went outside to feed and let out my ducks, i noticed that my eldest one did not get up when i opened the cage. which is strange, because she usually ruhes to the door with the other. she reluctantly walks, but is swimming fine. i checked her legs to make sure that nothing was broken, and her legs are perfectly fine. is she sick, or just having a bad day?

she could just be having a bad day,

but that's quite unlikely. . .

I'd imagine she is "coming down" with an illness or likewise . .

but as I am not there right now i can't say for sure what is wrong.

If it was me i would keep her in her house or even bring her in the house for a few days purely for observation.. make sure she is kept warm and has plenty of food and clean . water and if she gets better she can go back out again.

but if she gets any worse i would take her to the vets just to put my mind at rest.  . .

May be you should take it to a vet because then the vet will check up the duck! Or may be it is weak! May be you should give it more food and water.

She could be sick. Some fight for dominance and get hurt. If you wait a while she may be fine. You letting her swim helps her build streingth and thats great. If she doesnt seem better she could have lamness so take her to the vet. Keep letting her swim as well
