Weaning off Klonopin?

I have been on 1mg a day of Klonopin for a year. My doc said to cut them in half every 2 weeks to wean off. Does this sound right?

Your dosage is not high, so this plan should work well.  If not, simply extend to three weeks for each half you go down.  The pills do fall apart easily, so I would suggest using a pill cutter which is available at most pharmacies.

Yes, this is a good plan for wearing from the medicine.  I have gone completely off it several times (to use it on an as needed basis) and have been on it for 14 years off and on.
