go to your classifieds in your newspaper. they are your best bet. just start calling people. you dont have to make a commitment and it will help you get a good idea of your options.

i think shopping for horses on the internet is not the smartest thing on the world. it works out some times, but not so much the rest of the time.

Ocala. FL there are a lot of horse farms up there and if you look you should be able to find some that are free. with the breeding and training that is going on there, their are a lot of sound horses that just need a good home. most of the larger farms there have too many young horses that just are not suited for racing. and would make a great saddle horse. A good place to start is the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation http://www.trfinc.org. there you can look in to adopting a horse.
