Wearing a bandana around my neck?

I just got a black and white checkered bandana from Hot Topic to wear around my neck, and I was wondering, does it mean anything? Because I've heard that certain bandanas correspond to gangs and stuff like that. I've seen people wear it and I think it looks cool. What about you?

I recently went on a vacation to europe and technically europe is 3 years ahead of us in fashion. EVERYONE was wearing bandanas around their necks there. I even got one, but of course it was a girl one. In my opinion guys look really hot with them on! I don't know much about gangs but I really don't think black and white checkered will relate to any :)

You should definatley wear it and with aviators too!

Means you are a total hipster that is struggling to keep up with the times.  I think the only gang that would give you c**p for it would be the dudes from "q***r Eye for the Straight Guy".  So go for it.
