Wearing diapers on a plane?

I'm 12 and my parents want me to wear goodnites when we fly to Greece this year, sometimes I wet the bed, like twice a month, and they think that I might while on the plane. Also they want me to wear them in case we get stuck in airport security and can't get to the bathroom. Last time I took a plane when I was 10 I wet my pants because my plane came it late and we had to rush to the connecting flight, and my parents don't want this to happen again. My two brothers 9 and 10 both are wearing pull-ups and I was just wondering if I should wear goodnites or not.

  1. Yes. Better safe than sorry.

  2. I agree with lexi, better safe than sorry, Good Luck!!!

  3. If you think you may have a problem, there's no harm in wearing protection against it.

Even in the space program, astronauts have worn special types of diapers, as there isn't always a place to go to the bathroom in space.

Fighter pilots can also wear a special device that allows them to urinate while flying during long flights.  Regular private pilots of small planes that have no bathrooms often carry "piddle packs" that allow them to urinate if it becomes necessary and they can't comfortably hold it until they land.

  4. YOU WET THE DIAPER AND YOUR 10???? HAVE SOME SELF CONTROL MAN

  5. When is the last time you wet yourself. If you still do a couple times a month then it might be a good idea. Specially considering that kids often fall asleep on a plane and really you do not want the embarrassment that comes from dealing with wetted pants on a plane. If you wear the diaper, you will be spared the trouble when a plane full of people know what you did, while wearing the diaper is totally private with your family.

As well, look around at the airport at the old people. About 1/3 of the people over 60 are wearing a diaper too. And over half of the 70+ people. It is done all the time.

While bed wetting is not your fault and is a medical condition that afflicts many people, you just want to get the flight over with with as little bother as possible. Planes are just too crowded these days to have to deal with wetting yourself.

But I do hope you grow out of it eventually. 12 is a little late for it to go away, it is not unheard of and I expect it will stop when you reach puberty.

  6. Don't feel like it is a childish thing to do.  Many adults wear protection against leaking and not being able to get to the restroom in time.  I think wearing that in case you are stuck on the tarmak for hours would be a good idea.  Your age and your problem with bed weting doesn't have anything to do with it.  You can't always get to a restroom in time when you travel especially when you travel overseas.  Its simply a good idea.  Don't feel embarassed about it.  Using the restroom is natural and a good place to do it isn't always available.

Wear protection.  I bet your parents are wearing something too.  Nature calls and everyone answers.

That answer about children and old people over 60...ha.  I know people (expecially women) of all ages who leak when they sneeze or cough.  It happens to everyone of any age.
