Weather for Brisbane to Cairns in October?

Thanks in advance for answering my question. Yes, I know I can look at the weather statistics, but I would prefer to hear from locals.

What is the weather like for the month of October? Do you get storms, what's the average temperature for the day/night 28c, or more like 35c? Will there be any roads out due to floods between Brisbane and Cairns? We are driving this portion.

It will still be the dry season. Little or no  rain, warm to hot the further up the coast you go. Locals may wear jumpers ,you will stand out in shorts and T shirt.Humidity increases beyond brisbane but as you will be driving it will not be apparent. [ different when you step out of a plane ] Fuel is generally cheaper outside major centres, watch out for prices. In a nutshel....heaven.
