So what types of affects does weather have on gas? Where can I find this type of information?

I think you are asking why the price of gasoline changes with relation to weather.

Well, gas prices can slightly increase/decrese (although the affects are minimal) if the United States has a cold/hot spell which results in higher usage of central air/heating.  This higher usage creates higher demand for gaseous products and in turn pushes the price of gas slightly up.
