  2. Contacting the company or checking their website would give you the most accurate information.

  3. they would definitely change the intenuary...theyre not going to sail you into a storm...

  4. If there is a Hurricane or large tropical storm they will change ports, depending on the heading and direction of the storm.  If you go on a cruise from Dec 1 to May 31 you should be safe from storms, however they can still happen in November, but we have had a quite year so far.

  5. Yes, the ports can be changed or cancelled at any time for weather considerations (also mechanical problems) by any cruiseline.  None of them want to risk endangering the passengers and crew.

On my last cruise, one port did get cancelled due to high waves (the captain thought it might be too dangerous to send passengers in a tender to shore).  Some ships going to the Mexican Riviera the last month or two have had to change their itinerary because of hurricanes.  That's just a fact of life in the cruising world that ports aren't guaranteed.

That's a major reason that if you pre-book an excursion independent of the cruiseline, always get in writing the cancellation policy in the event you don't get into port.  You don't want to get charged for an excursion you can't take.  If booked through the ship, don't worry.
