Can anyone tell me what the weather will be like in Australia around the middle to end of July? I will be near Hamilton Island and I would like to pack appropriate clothing.

Thanks!!

  1. If you're just going to Hamilton Island you should expect comfortable days, and cold nights.  Some days you might need a jumper (jacket) or long pants, especially if you're taking a boat ride - otherwise if you basking in the sun you'll be warm.  Shouldn't be too much rain, just a smattering.  Not the rainy season.

    Don't forget the hat!!!

  2. well it all depends where ya from and what you are used to. i lived up in townsville (north qld) for a few years and when winter (june/july/august) i froze my butt off while when tourists came you saw them walking around in shorts. crazy! so if your used to the cold , yes you will be running around in shorts, but if like me and used to being hot you will need to bring some light jackets. have fun though!

  3. Hamilton Island is North enough not to have a winter really, pack a pair of jeans and something long sleeved for the night time, or a rainy day, otherwise I can imagine you'd be fine sleeping in a t-shirt and roaming around during the day in a pair of shorts or a skirt with sandals and a top, you won't need much warm clothing at all.   Probably about 12+ Celsius at night and in the 25ish during the day.  You won't be 'cold' put it that way.

  4. The average temperature around Hamilton Island in July is 23 °C or 73°F.

That's quite a comfortable temperature in my opinion.

The water temperature will be approx 25°C.

Have a great time, it's beautiful there.
