Weather in Estonia?

Question

Am going to Estonia next week and will be outside in the countryside for most of it. I haven't a clue what to pack. The weather here is miserable and wet and I'm wondering is Estonia experiencing a terrible summer too.

I hope you can give me an idea of temperatures and how often it has been raining etc. Thanks

Hm Estonia.

Well its near Poland isn't it? Both my brothers went to Poland last week and they said the weather was absolutely fantastic. Temperatures exceeding 30 C ! But there was always the odd wind.

Now onto Estonia, Checking weather stations such as BBC Worlds website should give you a clue on how the weather is.

Hi Elaine!

Weather in Estonian is "ilmateade" so you could try googling "Eesti ilmateade".

Best site I have found so far is www.ilm.ee which is showing sunshine and some showers for next week with temperatures of 17-21 Centigrade.

Oh and if you click on the union jack flag on the site, you get the forecast in English!

Its hard to predict at the moment. Sunny +27 for a few days, then rain +18 the next. Pack for both.

I was in Estonia last summer and we spent all of our time in Tallinn (make sure you go if you can).  I would say the weather was sunny and in the 70s maybe low 80s.  

I would suggest bringing a light fleece or jacket just to be sure.  I would imagine it is a little cooler in the country. Let's Go Europe says the highs should be about 86.  It wasn't rainy at all when we were there - unlike Latvia.
