My wife and I would like to travel to guardalavaca, Cuba in mid-september.

I know it is the peak hurricane season, but is it possible to get some sunshine anyway? Is the hurricane season so bad over there?

  1. Chances are you'll get tons of sunshine.  Just because it's hurricane season doesn't mean the weather won't be terrific.  If you look at the site below you can check previous years.  By the way I don't know which resort you are planning on, but my favorite is Sol Luna y Mares Guaradlavaca.  Have a wonderful time it's a great area of Cuba.

  2. You will never regret going to Cuba in September. That is actually one of my favourite times of year and when I mostly go. Don't worry about the 'hurricane season'. You will have sunshine everyday and you won't get more tropical than in and around September :-)

Hurricanes in Cuba are highly unlikely and IF anything ever happens, Cuba is very well prepared and always look after their citizens and tourists well in any case of emergencies.

The weather is perfect for the beach and for a hot, sunny, tropical getaway.

If there is any rain, it is mostly happening in the evenings....either around 6 p.m. or so...it doesn't last long though....and rain will mostly be while you're sleeping. If anything is during the day, it is just a little tropical shower that cools things off nicely and does not interfere with your activities.

Riki suggested a nice resort...he loves it there and surely won't recommend a bad place.

Have an amazing time in Cuba!
