Question:

Weather in barcelona, spain - compared to cannes, france?

Hi, I'm considering relocating in Spain or the South of France. I'd like to compare the two locations in terms of weather.

In particular, it seems the weather is not 100% tied in to the position of the city in regards to a particular longitude. Instead, some rather 'permanent' fixtures in the sky seem to affect the overall 'quality' of the weather "so called 'microclimates".

Where can I find information on any of this? Many thanks!!!

  1. I live in Barcelona. The weather is quite good all through the year. In summer the highest we reach is 36 degrees celsius. The only problem is humidity (somedays it feels sticky) but this you will find also in the South of France. The winter is never too hard, quite difficult to see snow and with climate change it will be rarer.

Besides the weather you should consider the cost of living. I believe it is higher in France, even in the south. Many French cross the frontier to Catalonia each weekend to buy groceries and cigarettes in Spain!!!

  2. I have not been to Cannes but you´ll fined the weather on the www.Barca is fairly hot with thunder storms most summers and the winter day time is mild and colder in the evenings with rain or showers in the early and later months of the year.

Spain is more laid back then France!!! In my opinion.

  3. + or les same weather
