  3. The weather in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

  4. It is winter so it can get rather cold.

I think jeans, zip up jackets, hoodies are fairly commonly worn.

Females wear a lot of black leggings with a long kind of top and trench coats are common too

  5. Depends where your going but if your in the southern half of the country you'll need some warm clothing (nothing major just sume jumpers/sweaters, jeans, pants and a raincoat) as temperatures here can get quite cold. To compare it to the US our winters are similar to what you'd find in coastal California between San Francisco and LA. Melbourne's maximum averages about 13C (55F), Sydney 16C  (61F), Brisbane 21C (69F), Hobart 11C  (52F), Adelaide 16C (59 F) and Perth 18C (64F). It of course gets colder than this during the night and temperatures can on occasion go below freezing. As for fashion I don't think were all that different to America so I wouldn't worry about buying anything different. If anything we're probably a bit more casual. If your in Darwin or Cairns (or anywhere in Northern Australia) it's loose clothing year round. As for New Zealand the North Island has a winter climate similar to that of Melbourne. While the South Island is a fair bit colder, it snows in Christchurch about once or twice a year.
