Okay, so I was wondering where I could buy a weather radar for personal use. I want to study meteorology as a hobby, not a profession.

and I was also wondering if anyone knew of a website that shows rotation...I saw a channel in Texas that showed places where there were rotation (using little yellow circles) and i was wondering if any radar online did the same thing...

thank you :)

  1. Rofl!

You wont be able to get a radar

Because those thing can roast you!

  2. Weathertap is a good weather service to use.  Its only $7.00 a month and is good.  I have used it for a while and are quite happy with it.  Accuradar plus is also another one to use, more features but more expensive.  I used it for a few months and was not happy with it.

    Weathertap www.weathertap.com

  3. I use StormLab radar here. It uploads images (when I am viewing the radar) onto my website for all to see. It does pick up on rotation, and displays the various symbols when that happens. I have a key to show you what those symbols look like at www.hinghamweather.com/liveradar.html

  4. the weather radars (doppler radars) are very expensive.

as far a website that shows rotation, check with your local news station that has their own doppler radar or check with you local weather service doppler radar.
