Web Hostings Sites UK?

Question

Any good rated, cheap if possible as I want to set up a website but not spend loads of money straight away incase things don't turn out well

I agree that www.1and1.co.uk are bad and overly expensive for what  they offer. I have never found any UK hosters that are good, each have either this or that problem.

However there "might" be some UK hosters that are good, so good luck wasting your time looking for them!

I'll give IX a go. I have a package with byethost.com right now, they have been quite good and cheap but I need to spread out more so I'll get more hosting IX do 8 individual IP addresses, this seems real good

they are not in the UK but it makes no difference.  After searching for months and testing a few out I found these to be the best. You can start small and then grow as big as you like.

One of their best point is if you join them they'll give up $500 in free PPC advertising to help you make a noise about your site :)
