Web browser virus, Don't want to reformat my hard drive, plz help?

I have a web browser virus, it will not let me see any of my links, download anything, or use the stop back and forward buttons. I know where it came from and deleted all of the files that i thought had the virus in it. When i start up my computer it works, but later on it stops working. I use firefox, vista.

You are going to need to use another computer and download and put the install files for the following programs on a CD or Jump Drive:

ThreatFire

AVG

Spybot S&D
