Web cam help?

okay well we just brought a web cam i dont no if this helps but it say USB2.0 but everytime we plug it in it always restarts our laptops what can we do ive installed it to the manual

The webcam must not be fitted right in your laptop or maybe is but needs to restart the laptop in order to work! as long as it works im sure theres nothing wrong :)

Did it come with a CD? You normally have to install the software before you connect the device.
