I recently bought some blank dvd's at a web site called datatechstore.com. I found the site on froogle and figured they must be legit, and ordered some dvd's that I thought were a price mistake, figuring that they would either cancel my order or just send out my order and take a loss and put the price back up to were it was supposed to be. It specifically says that the item is a 10 pack spindle of dvd+r's, and it even shows the product number which I googled and found is a 10 pack of dvd+r's. It also says dual layer, which I knew was untrue because of the product number, and I ordered 30 packs of them. I got them in the mail today; 3 10 dvd spindles. These scumbags ripped me off, and now if I want to return them I will probably have to pay shipping and stuff, if they even allow me to return them. The site says that you can return items for a refund within 30 days but after I made my order I never received confirmation or anything, and I tried calling them and only got a machine.

  1. 1. check the terms of sales that apply to your purchase

    2. check the small print of your purchase agreement

    3. check which court and legal system are authorized in case of a disagreement that can't be settled out of court

    4. get an attorney

    5. prepare to loose a lot of money

    6. count your losses and be more careful next time you consider shopping on line

  2. Hi there,

While I think that going to the courts and hiring a lawyer for a DVD issue is a bit extreme, I believe the best course of action is to ***email them***. Many internet business are side hustles and the folks who run them also have other jobs. If they don't get in touch with you, you may have to write them off. Heck, I got ripped off buying DVDs at Staples....in the store :). Next time, read the return policy.

Another strategy you might adopt is buying from websites that have customer ratings. Amazon has alot of products and a pretty good rating system, so you can see if the buying public likes a certain vendor before you buy. Sorry for your loss. Good Luck.

  3. Well when you go to the websites you take your chances. Now also you will be getting lots of junk mail cause they pass your email address .So good luck on your quest.  BE AWARE
