Webber recorded the fastest lap in practice race at Yeongam circuit
The Australian veteran driver Mark Webber recorded the fastest lap during the practice session of the Korean Grand Prix race. In the practice session the thirty-four year old Aussie champion responded pretty strongly to the Ferrari and McLaren team rivals
and showed his best class.
Mark Webber recorded the fastest time of approximately thirty-eight seconds and finished his best lap ahead of his arch rivals Spaniard Fernando Alonso and Englishman Lewis Hamilton.
On the other hand the veteran racer from team McLaren, Jenson Button, had hard luck and failed to complete his race because of enduring overheating of the car’s engine. The driver from the Renault team Robert Kubica finished fourth in the practice session
race.
The German ace racer from the team Red Bull Sabestian Vettel faced some bad luck too as he suffered a puncture and finished the race in the seventh spot. The racing circuit for the Korean Grand Prix is being praised by the most of the racing critics and
so far the drivers have loved racing on it.
According to some reports the three sections of the Yeongam racing circuit is equally favourable for all the racing teams. It is reported that the long straights of the track are helpful for team McLaren, whereas section two, which comprises of short bends
will support the Red Bull team and the third section of race will be favourable to the Ferrari team. Now it is up to the driver to use the best of it to clinch the best timings and points.
During the practice session race all the top three racing teams seemed strong over the racing track whereas Robert Kubica from the Renault racing team looked strong and dominating as well.
Hamilton expressed happiness regarding the new modifications in the car to match the speed of Red Bull team’s cars. While talking to the media the twenty-five years old Briton expressed his thoughts and said that he is very happy with the new modifications
made by his team in the car.
He added that his car responded really well while racing and so far he is pretty satisfied with the way everything is happening. Later Hamilton said that he faced some problems in the balance of the car during the race but he is very hopeful that his team
will be able to fix it before the race.
Webber also seemed happy with his efforts and expressed his thoughts very confidently. He said that so far it has been a great day for the Red Bull team. The Aussie added that his team is very positive about his performance in the practice race.
While talking about the Yeongam racing circuit Webber said that the Korean Grand Prix circuit is very interesting and unique and he liked racing on it. He added that the pit entrance and exit is very close but everything else is amazing and the racing track
is perfect to race.
The first practice session was brilliantly dominated by the English veteran Lewis Hamilton. Fernando Alonso also showed his class and recorded the fastest lap timings in the afternoon practice session.
The results of the practice session races have clearly shown that the Korean racing circuit is good for all the top five championship contenders. Now it is up to the drivers to utilize the best from it.
