Website Creation Help?

Question

I want to make my own website because well....I heard a family member of mine making a website and actually gets money from it. I know it costs money because you will have to buy a domain, but where do I go to buy a domain? And do I really get money from the amount of views I get from it? And if I do get money from it, how much?

I see sites with really nice layouts, how do you get them? Is there some kind of website creation program?

you need to learn CSS I suggest you first practice with a free website like http://members.freewebs.com/ when you get the hang of scripting and know what you are doing the you can go ahead and buy the domain and yes you do earn money by putting advertisements in your website.

Answer to all your questions.... yes. But it is not that intimidating as it seems.

It only took me about a week and 20 bucks. Go to the store and buy a book on web design. that will be you best place to start.

Heres the thing... i think yur family member was talking about making websites for otheres and gets paid. Cuase thats what i do. The only way o get paid for your ow site iis if you ge donations or you get people to advertise on your site. But the only way to get people to advertise on your site if you have a popluar site that gets lots of traffic. Thats how myspace gets paid. also to make a website you need to no HTML, Java, jave script, CSS, and other stuff. e-mail me if you want to know more.

Try godaddy.com for a domain name. It should be able to answer any questions you have.
