http://www.brainpop.com/ is a great site, but you have to pay to join.

http://sciencecastle.com/sc/index.php/ho... is a science site with great classes at minimal cost.  It features the beloved "Mr. Mac."

http://www.kidsknowit.com/ is free.

http://free.ed.gov/ lists multiple free sites from federal agencies.

http://www.gamequarium.com/ has loads of fun stuff for grades K-6

I don't know the ages of the child(ren) you are referring to, but my daughter likes these....funbrain.com, starfall.com, and iknowthat.com. I hope you and your child(ren) like them. Have fun.
