The best cat toys are free. Empty gift boxes with the tissue paper, shoe boxes, small balls made from  slick paper (think the ads), a milk bottle ring tied to a piece of grosgrain ribbon, a drinking straw, home grown catnip sprinkled into a paper grocery bag, a ping pong ball. Our cats love plastic drinking straws.  We tuck them in chair cushions with a bit sticking out.  When they have been chewed to the proper shape, they chase them around on the hardwood floors.

Cheap toys made in China may contain lead or other ingredients that may be harmful to your pet. Save your money and put it towards better cat food or some sisal rope that you can wind around a post or old wooden ladder for a scratching post.

Petedge.com is a site meant for wholesalers, meaning their prices are extremely low, but there's no minimum order meaning anyone can order from them. There's less cat stuff than dog stuff, but there's still plenty of cat toys and the like.
