Website for downloading music for mp3 player

Question

Can someone please provide me with a good website for downloading music for my mp3 player? I have tried some sites but they take you through all these promo ads that I am not interested in. I was on a free site that didn't offer enough variety of music or if it was available I could not download it. I'm willing to subscribe if need be. I just want something legit and easy to use.
