Website help (Do you happen to know any programs that could help..)?

Well, where I live there seems to be a pretty major problem I'm facing right now. There's no youtube! The proxies are being blocked where I'm at, nothing from my personal network but my guess is that it's something from the state/city/country/government/theplacewh... itself. I get this when I try opening some sites:

The requested URL could not be retrieved

Requested URL:http://www.youtube.com/

Error message: Access Denied

I was hoping there's a program that allows me to access these blocked sites without facing any problems. Do you happen to know any programs I could buy that could let me do that? I've tried using sites like http://www.sureproxy.com/ and this is what I get:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /nph-index.cgi/011110A/http/www.youtube.... on this server.

I know I'm not the only facing this problem, people I've asked also have been having these issues as well. You see I'm no expert at this, I barely even know what I'm doing but is there any way you can help me?

Answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

  1. something you could first do, is go on tools then settings, and just go though resetting it all to default, people often tick a box without realizing, causing this kind of error, if not you could wither do what the last person said and try installing firefox, or there is a new one out from google, and they are the owners of youtube so that should work. (www.google.co.uk) .

  2. The best thing to do is try using FireFox Portable (portableapps.com).  Put it on a flash drive and run it (works for me!)

    If all else fails:

    try www.vtunnel.com

Or be like me, use both :).

  3. I'm having the same problem with www.webcamnow.com.    I was on the site everyday and last week I tried to get on and it kept going to the IE screen telling me the site could not be found.    Thinking they were down for maintenance I tried later that day and same thing,  could not find the web page.    I called my isp and they got on with no problem.   They walked me through the command prompt,  told me what to type in,  and I got 100 percent loss,  meaning my ip address was being blocked from the site.   There's no reason for them to have blocked me intentionally,   I don't even go on cam there,  on chat with friends on there.   I tried contacting webcamnow's support through e-mail but can't even do that because I can't get into their servers.  Try this:   click on start,     click on run.    in the box type in   cmd and hit enter.      at the end of the wording that comes up,    type  ping  then space and type in www.youtube.com,      Hit enter.      If you can't ping their servers then the server is blocking your ip address.     Hope this helps,   I know first hand how frustrating  it is trying to figure out a problem like this.  Dennis
