Ditto on boardgamegeek.com.  Its entirely user-based content, but its the best boardgame resource out there.  You can find all sorts of stuff about almost any board game ever made.  If you can't find it, post a question and odds are someone will have an answer for you.

boardgamegeek.com  is by far the most comprehensive resource. The last time I checked there were over 14,000 games and 160,000 members from all over the world. It's also a friendly place. You can lurk or it's free to join.
