Website to rent cars in cancun please?

do i need an international driver's license to drive in cancun? can i rent a car for one to go xelha or it is better to get a cab? also please give me a website where i can rent a car in cancu. thanks

I am not sure how much the cabs are, but when I went a few years ago, my brother rented a car (we got it when we landed, and I can't recall the company he went with). We drove down to Xel-Ha (from Cancun) and it seemed like a long drive...at least an hour, so that would be a very expensive round trip taxi ride!

My brother didn't have an international driver's license, you just need to be at least 25. Go travelocity.com or hotwire.com or expedia.com and you will get a good deal on a car, plus it should be there waiting on you when you get there!

Be careful on the highway, you wouldn't believe the way people pass cars. On a two lane highway, cars will go around other cars, even if there is a car coming head on. Basically, the use shoulders for passing! And don't get stopped by the police, we didn't, but I've heard of people who did--and they aren't very nice.

you don't need international drivers license. the one you have is fine.

I guess you can find better deals renting the car from your city or if not, you can easily rent a car at the airport at good prices.

you can go xelha or xcaret at the bus station at a very cheap price or take a tour including transportation. anyway don't worry, everybody would be pleased to assist and help you.

I wouldnt suggest driving in cancun, they are crazy drivers. You can get almost anywhere in cancun by the bus which is .60 cents.
