I need a good recipe for a wedding cake. I want to put a filling in the middle. I originally was going to do a coconut one but not to many people like coconut. So if anyone could give me a simple recipe. I am using butter cream frosting or else a cream cheese one. But I would like for my cake to be made from starch. No box cake here.

I need this like ASAP I am baking the cakes on Monday for a trial run on Thursday,

  1. here in Australia the fashion now is a Chocolate Fudge cake   this may be the solution,   this is done in a couple of layers and then decorated traditionally.

If not there is another fashion and that is Profiterole Cake, they make individual profiteroles and fill them, then pile them up to a large cone shape and pour a mixture of black chocolate, butter and brandy gently down all the areas of the cake so that all the profiteroles have some coating

hope I have given you a couple of ideas

cheers, good luck and the best of wishes
