Hey What do you guys think about throwing fake snow at the Bride & Groom instead of birdseed or blowing bubbles etc.?

Also when printing invitations should you put the parents of the bride and grooms middle names??

BTW it's a Winter wedding

  1. Fake snow?  What would it be made of?  Consider clean up and if outdoor if its safe for animals if they get into it.  But other then that its a very unique idea!

Generally for the parents you do

Jane and John Smith, parents of teh bride

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, parents of the bride

no middle names for them, jsut B and G

  2. I think its a wonderful idea. Make sure you check with whatever site you are planning to throw the snow. Outside the church or the reception? Some places won't allow stuff like that. Oh and try to look for something eco-friendly

And no you don't have to put their middle names unless thats what you prefer. Keep in mind some places will charge extra for more writing.

  3. Formality states no middle names. Trendy states anything is allowed. Great idea about the snow but you might want to check with the ceremony / reception facility rules. Most say no to non-eco friendly products.

  4. throwing snow is an adorable idea! and printing middle names... enh... it's really a personal opinion... hope you have all the best!

  5. Check out the

    Ecofetti

It comes in a few different colors, including white you could pull that off...and it's more eco friendly than fake snow.

As for middle names, that's a personal choice. I have gotten a few both ways and we opted to put our middle names on the invitations. As for the parents, rule of thumb is the person (s) paying for the wedding go on the invitations...so if they are helping pay I say you should put their names on. If you guys are paying for it yourselves, you don't need to put them on.

  6. NICE

  7. oh yea.. its a fantastic idea..!

& putting ur parents names, last names & middle names is good thot indeed..!

    all the bestl..tc//!!

  8. No middle names.

I like the idea of throwing snow, but I see negatives about it... If you're talking about the plastic-like kind that you put on your Christmas tree, that would make such a mess, and you'll have snow in your hair throughout the reception, I would think. Not to mention it's bad for the environment to just blow around outside. If you're thinking making the fake snow that comes in bottles and you add water to, I definitly wouldn't recommend that either. I made that for my wedding, and it made for great decorations, but it was incredibly wet. If you have people throw that on you, it'll ruin your hair, makeup, and maybe even dress. Plus you'll be all wet for the night.... So unless you have a better idea of a different type of fake snow, I wouldn't recommend it.

I had a winter wedding and I thought birdseed and bubbles were a little out of season, so the guests threw biodegradeable rose petals.
