I was told over the phone by my hair dresser to go and get white clips for my hair style for my wedding day...I asked her if she meant butterfly clips & she said yes but the larger clip style? Anyone have any ideas of what she means or pictures?

  1. Go to a professional hair stylist. ( I would not go to them)  They should not be using butterfly clips in your hair .  They should be using pins and know how to do it so they won't show.

Make sure you do a trial run before the wedding.

  2. Unless you requested that she use clips, she shouldn't be. Professionals always use bobby pins, and hide them comfortably in the hairstyle. You should definitely request a trial run. I had 140 bobby pins in my hair on my wedding day, and they didn't show at all, nor did they cause me any discomfort. Request a trial run and explain you don't know what kind of clips she means, and if you don't want clips, tell her you'd prefer her to use bobby pins.

  3. Find some kind of hair decoration that you love (look at David's Bridal and other wedding websites) and encorporate that. Since she doesn't have the original look in front of her, you'll be able to make your favorite hair piece work.

  4. Your hair dresser is using "butterfly clips"?!  Did you have a trial run?  A hair dresser should not need any "clips" to put your hair up, they are trained to put your hair up with pins and to hide the pins.

  5. If you don't know what she needs, why don't you suggest that she buy the ones she needs and you will reimburse her for them?  That way she will definitely have what she needs.

  6. Maybe she means those clips that hold in hot rollers?
