Question:

Wedding Invitations, good quality but not too expensive?

I'm looking for wedding invitations but it is really hard to pick because everything looks of good quality on the internet but the samples I've gotten look really cheap.

Do you know of any good websites that have really good quality invitations at an affordable price?

All advice appreciated but I would really like an opinion from someone with their own experiences of this.

Thanks!

  1. I got my wedding invitations and response cards from Paper Direct and I absolutely love them! My mom and I printed them out ourselves since she had previous experience with doing wedding invitations. If you do them yourself just make sure to print a test page on normal paper to make sure it all lines up before printing them out on the actual invitations. We saved a ton of money doing them ourselves!

Also, if you haven't figured out exactly what wording you want for your invitations I would recommend VerseIt.com. It was a life saver for me!

  2. Make your own!

Get some good quality stationery from somewhere like staples and literally make your own.  There is a DVD in there and the whole pack costs about £20 .

Tissue lined envelopes and then the sky's the limit for your design techniques!

Or take a bunch of fotos of weddingy things, stick them to the cards or postcards and send them out.

    Its original if nothing else!!

  3. Well hun you can always make your own

Get some good quality stationery from somewhere like staples, walmart, or even ebay and literally make your own.

Search online for ideas... that's what i'm doing...

    Good Luck and congrats

  4. I do not know if you are looking for handmade invites or not.

If you are not then ebay has loads of packets of invites, Mine were some from BHS, end of line, but beautiful.

I looked at having invitations handmade, or indeed making them myself, but in the end I decided there were more important things to spend my budget on- Afterall does anyone actually appreciate how an invitation looks or do they pop it in the kitchen drawer?!

  5. We have a nice online selection of Carlson Craft wedding invitations that are both affordable and good quality at http://www.PrintedCreationsWeddingStore....

Please feel free to check out the testimonials on our website to see what previous customers had to say about their invitations.

  6. I'm getting married next year and i didnt want to spend to much money on the invitations, but didnt want them to look really cheap tho.  On the of chance i went to the local pound shop and couldn't beileve that they had really nice ones 10 for a pound,

You could give it a go

  7. Try Costco.com.  I know this seems like an unlikely source, but check them out.  They do not have the largest selection, but they offer very nice (generally classic) invitations for a fraction of the cost.  You can put your own wording into their invitation and pay for a sample to be sent to you.  If you like that, you can buy from there.  This is what we did, and it looked lovely and definitely not cheap!

  8.   consider making your own.  my brother and his now wife went to a paper outlet type store and found a great kit with all the supplys they needed and a disk that helped them work out the proper words and grammer and whatnot for the invitations.  they turned out SOO SO pretty, and looked absolutly georgous when they showed up in the mail.  and best of all it only cost them a fraction of the price because they printed them all off at home, and assembled them and tied on the ribbons.  the paper was high quality, the bows were pretty.  it was awsome.

perhaps you have a party store near you that has kits like this you can use?

  9. Hi there I don't know where you are from but I got married in Canada.  I printed my own.  I bought a kit and it told me how to do it all then I just assembled them.  I'm not sure if you can get them in the UK if that's where you are from.  I don't know how many people you are inviting either so this may not be the most cost effective solution but I will include the link any way.  And this isn't the only brand I know staples sells kits as well and I know staples is Canada Uk and US I think.

I bought my 'Brides' Invites at Micheals (if you are from canada you will know what that is or US? )

But i know there are alot of options like this and they look beautiful when they are done!

  10. First off, don't purchase off the internet, you'll never get what you think you're getting. I got mine at party city, and they are the print your own kind. It saved me a TON of money!!

  11. I am just currently looking for invitations, but I have got some from VistaPrint which are not too bad.  I got 10 for free as they were doing a special offer which they always seem to be doing!  There are loads of designs and finishes - why not give them a try?

  12. i'm designing and printing my own (on a printing press not from a computer) because i don't really like what i have found in the wedding invite world. you could try etsy.com maybe someone can make them for you, you can say how much you want to spend and go from there.

  13. You can get invites off ebay, I got invites off there and they were very affordable and look good too. Cost about $120 for 60 invites, reply cards, table cards and the envelopes addressed.

I was very happy with it all and the lady is very nice and helpful. You can order a sample kit for about 2.50 so you arnt getting into something you wont like.

    Good luck.

  14. I found mine at Target.  A kit is around $30.00 for 25 invites.  The kit comes with invitations, rsvp/reception/save.the.date cards and envelopes for both.  Worked out great.  Had numerous people ask me where I had them printed.  I printed them at work when the boss wasn't around.

    Good luck.
