Hi everyone.

I need your help. I am getting married in September and was just wanting your advice. I want to have a fingertip veil and I was planning to have it on all night, but I am tossing up whether I should have a hair feather fascinator. I really like them but really want a veil as well. I am a bigger girl, so I am wanting to feel more secure on the night by having my veil down my back covering some of my arms.. Is it too much to have both? Which one should I opt for? Help… Your advice is appreciated.

  1. I would just wear the veil. Nothing made me feel more like a bride than wearing my veil. Maybe get a veil with crystals and stuff on it so it makes more of a statement if you were thinking of a fascinator. Both might be too much.

    All the best :)

  2. My friend is a "heavier girl" and also wanted something to cover her arms/back during the reception, she opted to wear a shrug that tied in the front and stayed on all night (until she got drunk and it came off lol they had a WILD PARTY)

I am a little heavier, but it's all in my hips. I am wearing a veil for my wedding and then switching to a feather hair piece for the reception, change up my hair style a little and will keep my hair out of my face.

You should do whatever is most comfortable to you. This is a very special day and feeling uncomfortable would not be good, but remember, your man loves you for who you are.

  3. You could wear a lightweight tiara with your veil, that would look pretty, or you could wear the veil for the wedding and the reception and then replace it with a sheer bolero or shrug for the dancing. Have a happy wedding!
