Question:

Wedding RSVP? Too early?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

We are sending out our wedding invites 14 weeks prior to the wedding as it is on a Monday and want everybody to have adequate notice (although most people already know the date).

Can we ask people to RSVP 6 weeks prior to the wedding or is it too early?

The reason we wan't enough notice is to be able to send out second round invitations if there are any declines.

Also how close to the RSVP date do most people reply? (ie. just before the date or earlier)

Thank you all in advance.

  1. since you are sending a second batch, then that is not too early. and we asked ppl to RSVP 5 weeks before... seeing as we got them out 7 weeks prior, we are still getting RSVPs in.

EDIT: We are to be married in 3 weeks

  2. this is what we did and it worked out fine.

  3. 6 weeks is great! most people know to respond about a month before hand.

  4. My Sister did something like this but she used a service that allows her guests to call a private number assigned to the event and RSVP for the wedding. This way she got responses very quick and was able to send invitations from her B list everytime she got a No response

The service she used was called myrsvplive.com

  5. Not at all just make sure people remember, esp. when it comes to food choices. Because you don't want them to call 2 weeks piror asking what they checked and if they can change it. You will have enough on your plate.
