Question:

Wedding Reception Colors?

by  |  earlier

For my wedding, my maid of honor will be wearing sage green, and my flowers are going to be light pink gerbera daisies. For my wedding reception, I would like to blend these two colors without it looking tacky. But I’m kind of leaning towards having a pink reception. Can I still do this or would I have to blend both colors? Thank you.

  1. You can always add green by using greenery for flowers, you know?  Just make sure your centerpeices or floral arrangements inside have lots of green.

  2. pink and green go really well together...been to 2 pink and green wedding myself.  google pink and green weddings and you will get alot of ideas...those compliment each other really well.

  3. Do what you want it's your wedding day. I think that pink with accents of green here and there will be very nice.

  4. You can do WHATEVER you want. If you want an all orange reception, you could. Totally up to you. I think pink and green would be lovely, but do whatever is best and most reflective of you and your fiances taste.

  5. Funny that you like those colors. I was watching "Who's Wedding is it anyway?" on the style channel this past weekend. The bride was irish and wanted to work in the green with the pink also. She had green as the focal point (the table linens, dresses, etc) put pink as the accent color-the bows on the chair covers, the napkins, the flowers, etc.

There are plenty shades of pink that compliment the green without looking tacky. Just make sure that you put them next to each other to double check.

However you want to do it, have fun! It's your wedding :) Congratulations & best of luck!

  6. Honestly, I think that green & pink are beautiful together! But if you wanted to do mostly pink...if you did a lot of pink flowery things the stems and leaves would be green so it would tie that green in. Your wedding will be beautiful! :)
