Wedding. Should we all match?

My bridesmaids are wearing silver jewellery with purple dresses, and i myself was going to wear silver also but have found some lovely jewellery in gold. Do you think we should all wear the same color jewellery or do you think because i am the bride it does not matter? My bridesmaids all have the same long dark purple gown, do you think its better to individualise them with different shoes and jewellery or all be the same? i was thinking different. Sorry to post here but i know its overflowing with mummies alot who would be or will be getting married eventually! Thanks

Why would you post this in parenting?  I think this is the right place for it.

I don't think the gold matters at all.  You're wearing white, so you won't match anyway.

Personally, I like individualized bridesmaids, but it's your wedding.  If you want them to look all the same, then you should.  Letting them be individuals certainly saves money for them, though.

I personally like the same shoes and stuff.

You don't want one bridesmaids getting 4 inch heels and the other bridesmaid 2 inch heels! Then when they are lining up it won't look right!

If you want them to be different far as shoes and jewelry give them some guidelines to follows!

This depends on the look you like. personally, I like the matchy - matchy but my daughter always scolds me for that. Why not keep the bridesmaids in the purple and the silver jewelry and maybe you can have gold and incorporate a little gold into their accessories or a little silver into yours.

Let them wear their own shoes and jewelry (you can specify the color/style). If you are giving them jewelry as their gift, you can pick something similar but unique for each girl. And you can certainly wear a different color of jewelry. There is no rule that says every element of a wedding has to be matchy-matchy - and oftentimes the "look" is nicer when there are touches of individuality!

It's fine for you to wear gold. It's nice if their gowns are the same to have their jewellery be the same.

For shoes, choose a general style and color then they can get a pair which suits them. For example, a black pump - then they can choose the heel height they feel comfortable with.

Thee is nothing wrong with being a little individual! The last wedding I was in, the bide let us choose jewelry, shoes, and hairstyle. It tuned out beautiful!

And if you love the gold jewelry, go for it! it will make you stand out more!

Why would you post this in parenting?

Personally my bridesmaids dresses are ALL different because each girl is different, but they all match my colours black and white.

I say i individualize as much as possible
