Wedding Theme Help?

I'm getting married and the song we're going to dance to for our first dance is "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" by Frankie Valli. What sort of theme would you associate with the song, in detail. Also, what colors. Thanks.

  1. I think that black and white would be appropriate. You can give the reception site a throw-back theme. You want to keep it simple, elegant and romantic. Add lots of whimsy with flowing fabrics. I would use silver accessories. You could do pictures of the two of you in black and white in silver frames and place them throughout the facility. I hope this helps!

  2. I would suggest lots of hearts and and angels... very floaty and romantic. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe one of the lines in the song is "you'd be like heaven to touch" so try to make it 'heavenly' I would use maybe white and a very pale blue... sort of like clouds.

    All the best.

  3. I would think to base your theme on what time of the year you're getting married?

  4. The song doesn't really have any real 'theme' that springs to mind other than romance. So you could do a romantic theme.

You could use love hearts in your decorations, so long as it wasn't overused - that can look tacky.

My wedding will be more romantic than the glamourous big white weddings - i'll be wearing a pale pink floaty gown and we'll get married by candlelight. The colour scheme will be pale pink, cream and gold.

You don't have to use pink for a wedding to have a dreamy, romantic feel - deep red can look lovely, purple, anything really. Just keep the dresses floaty and have lots of candles!

I think the best way to decide colour scheme you'll have is to look at lots of photos of weddings online and work out what you like the best. You'll find things will just progress from there as your colour theme will help you narrow down your choice of decorations, flowers, etc.

  5. The theme I see is romance, windy and light. A big church wedding and a BIG classy tent in a big backyard, with lots of strings of lights and soft colors, rose petals. http://www.beau-coup.com/Pictures/Freeze...

    Soft colors and the 60's.

It makes me think of Pastels. Maybe Light sea green and Peach... or Baby Blue and Silver... Or Lilac and Pale Yellow... Or Pale Pink and Light Chocolate Brown.

  6. The song makes me think of a midnight blue and candles... like dancing out under the stars. Maybe you could do silver and dark blue and white and get married in the late afternoon/evening?
