What's a clear glass and cheaper alternative to vases?

I need them for heavy yet short floral arrangements (kinda like mini bouquets).

Try www.floralsupply.com   They are a wholesaler of all kinds of items for every occasion.  I think they are great if you are on a budget.  Or if you are not up for ordering over the internet and would like to see something in person..  try a Hobby Lobby or Michaels.  If they don't have what you are looking for they can normally recommend a place that carries supplies for your occasion.  Best Wishes!!!!!

What about hurricane lamps for candles? You can get cheap glass vases though, have a look around.

mason jars! you can get a case of 1 quart jars at walmart for like 8-9 dollars!

how about milk pitchers - the heavy white ironstone ones - i'm sure you could order these from a florist or wholesale restaurant supply store.  tie a bow on the handle to match your colors if need be.

Have you looked into companies that sell vases at wholesale prices?  That's what I did.  Then after my wedding, I listed them in the newspaper and sold them for almost what I paid for them to a lady who was getting married and looking for centerpieces.
