We are having around 320 guests at our wedding and about 250 of them drink. We are providing keg beer and i am not sure how much of that to buy. (we are planning on 5 kegs) Then we are serving pop for the kids and other adults. How much pop should we buy. We are getting 2liters. We are not going to serve liquer becuase we dont want the liability, but they are allowed to bring their own and we will have pop for them to make their own mixed drinks.

  1. go to sams and stock up because you will need plenty, 5 kegs won 't cut it, especially if they are heavy drinkers. Why I said go to sams is because you can buy a mass quantity of 2 liters reasonably . Good luck , and may your marriage prosper.

  2. well, it sounds like a pretty good thought. I would probably ask you how heavily you plan on drinking how long will reception last. I'd go with 6 quarter barrels and basically a full movie bar drink dispenser /w refills because 70 kids and maybe 50 mix-drink makters will probably run the tab pretty high. If you insist on 2-liters I'd get like .5-.75 (2-liter) per person there. even if you have a lot of pop after-wards pop keeps descently if properly refridgerated. as for the beer more beer the better as well as the selection.

  3. wine

  4. 5 kegs should be plenty - also think about having 5 bottles of wine each of white, red and blush....

  5. There are 160 pours per keg (800 total for your reception) so ask yourself how big of drinkers they are.  You are a little over 3 beers a person right now, which should be a pretty good average.

  6. I think 5 kegs will be fine and when its gone o well its gone. That is what we planned on doing at our wedding. Tap one or 2 at at time. That way as long as the others were kept cold you can take them back.

I would get about 25 bottles of pop and same thing when its gone its gone.

Don't break the bank just to pay for everyone to drink.

  7. 5 kegs won't be enough.  Believe me.  Get plenty of plastic cups and ice.  Have barrels all over the place.  As for tonic, why don't you buy both cans and liters.
