my maid of honor will be wearing a wine colored dress and the bridesmaids will be wearing a nice green color. here is the website

http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=3328&prodgroup=110&sid=18743

(the green is the first swatch named clover and the wine color is the last swatch named wine)

do you think these two colors go well? I am thinking of having a goldish or terracotta accent color (terracotta is the 5th swatch color from the wine)

What type or color flowers would you suggest for the bouquets and how can i work these colors in my october wedding? I think the colors go really well.

  1. Yes, they're nice dresses/colors.

I would suggest almost a burnt orange or yellow (at least in the orange family). Gerber(a) Daisies come in this color and would go great! Sunflowers would look lovely too!

And the terracotta color is nice as well.

When you go to your florist take your fabric swatches with you.  It will help tremendously.

  4. I love the wine color however clover and wine really remind me of christmas. I also am having a october wedding and I am going with more browns, reds, Orange's. I am using fall flowers such as mums and leaves and what not. Did you ever use dress your  wedding on Davids Site?? You should def check it out..

I set u a link i built it for you.. Its totally up to you but I am thinking to christmas

  5. Do not do reverberating.  Gerbera daisies are for airy light weddings that aren't really formal.  Your dresses are waay too nice for them.  The colors are rich, but they are a bit christmasy.  If you're wedding isn't around christmas I would possibly consider changing one of the dress colors.. or adding and accent color.

If you do go with those colors (they are nice, by the way) I would do richer flowers.

Maybe to tie in the MOH and to break up the christmasy feel have all the girls carry deep red flowers:

possibly some pink for pop?  http://www.fiftyflowers.com/product/Dark...

Have you ever thought instead of the wine color doing the azaela or watermelon color?  I even think the clover and terracotta would be great... or the wine and terracotta.. in that case you could use orange roses which are beautiful

  6. I found the perfect bouquet! And for fall, it's cool with the berries - and the colours bring everything together -
