Question:

Wedding dinner help?

Ok, so I'm having my 3 best friends and my fiance is having his 3 best friends there when we get married. Afterward all 8 of us are going to eat. My questions is, should I cook dinner for them (I'd be more than happy) or should we go to a restaurant? If I do the cooking then it will be a nice elaborate meal. If we go out it will be fun and light but not as long and not as elaborate. I'm not sure which we should go with. My fiance is making the final decision but I want to have some opinions from others about it. What would you prefer if you were one of the six friends eating dinner with us that night?

  1. Have a nice dinner out, don't need to cook on your wedding night. then maybe continue with drinks and some kind ofentertainmentt at your houseafter-wardss, drinks ect.

  2. don't cook on your wedding day! that would make me, a guest, feel very uncomfortable. and i can not even begin to imagine what i would think of your fiance if he decided you should cook for your friends - gosh girl its your wedding day!

i would much rather we all go out for a fun dinner and relax.  we could then perhaps head back to your place for dessert and champagne - which you would have ordered and all you have to do is put out some pretty plates and wine glasses!

  3. Oh, go out to have a really nice dinner.  Rent a limo so you can drink champagne to celebrate and the limo driver can drop everyone off at home then take you to your honeymoon hotel.  That way, you'll all be in one car, and have a really great time, and have a nice dinner.  It's your wedding night!  You shouldn't cook.  Best wishes!

  4. I'm sure that if these are really close friends I'm sure they'd understand that you'd feel more comfortable cooking. Just make sure that you're ready for some of them to be horrified that you're going to spend that much effort, and to offer to take you out to a restaurant. When I'm with friends I'm normally willing to sacrifice the good food to ensure that they're well-rested.

  5. It's your wedding day.Enjoy a night out that way you wont have to clean up and can start your honeymoon soon.
