So i bought my wedding dress from $1,000 to $250 on sale. Only thing is the chest boob area is huge! i am a Big C cup so I think the dress was made wrong I have never had a problem with to big in the chest. So my dress has wire like its a corset on the top. NOW 1.5 months before wedding my mm tells me i never should have bought the dress, can a seamstress really take it in even though it has wire and beads EVERYWHERE>>?? I am so scared!! now i left it to the last min. God if I have to I will just buy a triple padded bra lol.

  1. A lot of times, the boning (the wire things) can be removed and the dress can be altered. It's definitely time to find a seamstress though!

  2. Take the dress to a seamstress/dressmaker who has experience in wedding gown alterations.  To simply answer your question, yes the bodice can be taken in, even with the boned bodice and beading, but not just any dressmaker can handle this, it needs to be someone who does wedding dress/formal wear alterations.  The beading may have to be removed and re-applied, so any seamstress needs to get her hands on this dress asap.  You've got 6 weeks, and while I haven't seen the dress, it SHOULD be enough time.  Just don't put this off any longer, because you might still be looking at paying a rush fee for this one.  It just really depends on how intricate the alterations will be, and no one can tell you that until they see the dress on you.

    Good luck!
