Is there a name for this particular sleeve style?

It's a spaghetti strap and then has the offshoulder part.

  1. It is called a cap sleeve.

  2. I don't know if that style is new, or just rediscovered. I think it's great. I'm so tired of seeing nothing but strapless!

  3. yeah it's called "Off The Shoulder Side Shirred".  that's the new styles. alot of shirts come like that nowadays too.

  4. Look at Sunny's answer.

  5. Its not technically considered a sleeve, its considered an off shoulder portrait neckline and the spaghetti straps hold it up and in place. It could also be called a cap sleeve.

Every designer will describe it differently.  Its not really old or new, its never really gone out of style.  Its just being shown more lately because there aren't many options to strapless or spaghetti straps.

Here's something you need to know about this "sleeve".  It has to either have an elastic band or fit loosely on the cap of your shoulder or you won't be able to move your arms upward.  And at a wedding, you hug and dance...if you were to wear it like in the pic, you couldn't move.
