Wedding favor ideas?

I need some good ideas for our wedding favors. I would like to bake something, or a DIY project..I was going to do a truffle from the lady thats doing our cake, but she was $2+ per truffle. and i am not paying that much. Plus i would like a fun project to do. any ideas as long as they are edible.

Buckeyes although tasty, I would only reccomend if you are from Ohio or a Ohio State Alumni.

I've seen home made cookies used as favors.  These are great because you can personalize them how you want, plus they are yummy.  You can make them from scratch or use the already made dough.  I particularly like the Pillsbury ready to bake sugar cookie dough, YUMMY!!

Your local party store should have all the things you need to personalize your cookies.  Silver or gold balls and other fancy sparkling edible decorations.

Truffles sound good, you should make them if you're looking for a more reasonably-priced option. They're basically cream and chocolate, melted together in a double boiler, then you roll them in a topping or dip them in chocolate with parafin to give them a hard shell.

you could do little chocolate lollipops that are in the shape of bride and groom ( you know the melted chocolate sets?)

little bags of jellybeans(m&m's skittles etc) attached to the place cards

You could make homemade "Buckeyes".  It is a yummy chocolate treat with a peanut butter center.  They are very popular at the chocolate shop that my daughter works at.  I am sure you can find a recipe online.  Good luck.

First, consider something you can make a week in advance.

I had a friend who wanted to make fresh cookies as a favor and decorate them and well...

Family came in and things came up and it became a nightmare as ran out of time.

Keep it simple, plan ahead so you can try to relax before the day. Maybe con sider dry ingredient cookie mix or soup.
