One of my friends go married yesterday, on 08-08-08. She invited to the party she is having today in celebration of their union. I've known her for like 2-3 years, she's a few months pregnant and is due the first week of December. What should I get them as a gift?? Their not under any registries so I need to think of something quick.

  1. you can get one of these in 2-3 days. cheap too. http://www.sandnames.com

  2. i always say money. If a couple didnt register thats usually what they want, i am in that same situation, and we need money bad to help with wedding cost. They will aprreciate it!!

  3. You could get them a gift card for a store they like. If you want to get them a gift, try something everyone needs for their kitchen or bathroom, or bedroom.

Wait until closer to December for a baby gift.

Just go to Bed Bath & Beyond . . . and have something sent to them.

Wait to buy a baby gift in December.  Buy them a household gift now.  Just click on "Kitchen."

  5. I was married not long ago and was disappointed at the number of unrequested, useless "decorative" things we got.  I wish those people would have just given cash or nothing all.  DEFINITELY would prefer nothing to odd trinkets I can't even identify.  People also often choose to buy things as wedding gifts that perhaps the couple themselves might want to pick out.

Cash or check works better than most any gift.  Some people feel bad just giving money, but trust me, with your friend not only being a newlywed but an expectant mother she will NEED some extra cash!

P.S.  If you've never gotten dozens of gift cards all at the same time, you may not realize what a pain they are.  Many stores still seem to have trouble getting the darn things to work at all, and having tons of gift cards in different stores (especially when you don't normally shop at a certain store) can be excessively annoying.  So just give cash.

  6. cash always works lol

  7. Household gifts, appliances, gift cards, money is always needed after the cost and expense of a wedding, not to mention a baby on the way towels and tableware  are also good choices
