Question:

Wedding gift advice?

What are unique and unordinary gifts to give to the groomsmen and ushers? My fiance and I would like to give them something out of the original mug, flask, money holder or shot glass.

Also, we have 3 set of parents, my fiances mother and father, my mother and step father and my father and step mother. We would like to get each of them something special, but want to keep the spending down to a reasonable level.

Thank you!

    good luck

  3. I'm so happy to hear you're avoiding mugs, flasks, etc.  Who really wants another piece of garbage with your wedding date on it anyhow?

Remember, your attendants are very different people so the gifts don't have to be identical.  Some ideas:

For the wine lover-nice bottle of wine (if you don't know wine, go into a specialty shop and give them your price range and tell them you want a nice red). Same advice for cigars, scotch, port.

    Movie lover-netflix subscription

    Music lover-itunes gift card

Golfer-personalized golf tees, greens fee gift card

    Sentimental professional-personalized stationary or portfolio

Traveler-personalized luggage tags, passport holder, leather dopp kit

For your parents, consider a gift certificate from your photographer and a nice frame so they can buy a picture after the big day.  Parents might also like a scrap book (I'm not so sure the guys will dig that)

    Hope this helps!

  4. Monster Truck Rally Tickets!

  5. Go to Bed Bath and beyond.  you can always find cute nice things there at a very reasonable price.  For the parents get them maybe a nice china set.  or something that they might actually use.  The groomsmen make a scrapbook of the wedding and give each of them one its nice and very sentimental.

  6. Give them something they like, ours liked movies so we bought him a couple special edition movies he wanted.  I made personalized hankerchiefs with our wedding date and names for the parents.  Make it special and personal.
