a painting ...its always really hard to tell how much they cost n paintings are such a personal choice thing it will annoy them that they will have to display it somewhere in there house.. buy a cheap ugly one n they will think its worth money he heee

There's no reason to be mean just because you don't like someone. Get them something small, yet still something they can use.. because lets face it.. what's the point of being petty?  Candles, a small/cheap appliance.. anything really that you might give to someone else for a wedding present. Or, you can not go, and not bother getting a present. If you don't like them, I don't think you should be going to their wedding anyway. It's a place for people to celebrate their marriage, not fume about how you don't like them.

If you dont like them, then why are you considering buying them a gift?? If you feel as though you have to get them something............. a $25 gift card to Wal-Mart should suffice.

I had this happen a while back.  Money is always generous but when you don't like someone or their new spouse.... gift ideas are hard to do. So, this is what my husband and I do... We get them a wedding frame, a photo album and a scrap book. We try to match the three together so it doesn't look to gaudy. Sometimes we throw in a bottle of champagne or wine.  We'll spend about $30 total which isn't too bad. if we throw in a bottle of liquor, then maybe we'll spend $40  or so.

If you don't want to do that, then getting a bride/groom set, like the time capsule thing you can find at any store... you can do a silly romantic book. if you want to go to the "s*x stores" they have, you can get them funny but yet romantic and kinky things there. Depends on who are you, what they like and how old they are to handle anything from that store, lol

If you don't like them, but you still have to go to the wedding, then just give them a card, a bottle of wine or a voucher. Vouchers can be expensive though, usually shops will require a minimum amount. If you have to spend anything, then don't spend more than $20.
