Wedding in a church?

our plans have been changed and our wedding has moved from outside to inside(church) and we really want our friend( who is legally able to marry us) but if we had it in a church would she still be able to marry us?

its a baptist church if that helps!!

we are baptist as well and yes our friend was our officiant

It probably depends on what the church allows.  If your friend is ordained by a church that the Baptists don't recognize, you may not be able to have him officiate.  You need to talk to the church, not us.

Speak to the minister at the church where you want to have the ceremony.  It's usually acceptable but will depend on church policy.
