Wedding invatation wording

anyone have any idea about what to write in the wedding invatation, i want My parents and his parent to be on it.

i have to me with the people who are doing my wedding invations and i have no i dea what to write on them! please help.

i want it to be very elegant!

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

             and

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith

request the honor of your

presence at the wedding

     of their children

      Tom and Mary

    on June 25, 2009

etc., etc., etc........

the engravers will center it correctly

Are either of them hosting?  If your parents are, it can be

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Doe

invite you to the marriage of their daughter

Jane Marie (no last name)

to

John Smith

son of

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith

If neither of them are hosting, you can word it as

We invite you to the wedding of

Jane Marie

daughter of

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Doe

to

John Smith

son of

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith
