  1. Photoshop and Illustrator - what graphic designers use.

  2. http://www.weddingclipart.com/wca/dc.do

    http://www.makeowninvitations.com/make_y...

I haven't used either of these so i'm at a lull as to how well they function. Reading up on the 2nd link seems to be more up your ally.

If you are looking for cheap wedding invitations Office Depot / Wal-Mart tend to have a large quantity of templates that are actually pretty well done.

Just be sure to include your parents and in-laws ( if they are still living, ) on the invitations... Bad experiences there..

  3. Well, just think what info you really need - eg.

"You are invited to the wedding of

    Jane Smith and John Brown

    at St. Oswald's Church

    on Saturday August 23rd 2008

    at 4 PM

Reception at the Carpenters' Arms - disco and buffet.

RSVP to Jane at (her home address)"

Put it all down. pick a stylish font, arrange it as you like, and take it to the printer. If you can get click-art yourself, add some pretty bits - or let the printer do that - explain that you're on a budget.

Do as much as you can for yourself - there are some fabulous wedding gowns in charity shops.

If friends & relations ask what gifts you'd like, there's nowt wrong with saying "Well, Sally, you're such a good cook - how about making the cake?" or "Tell you what, Uncle Bill, I'd really like it if you gave me some of your roses and Aunty Claire made up the bouquets!"

A wedding is, after all, a celebration, not a display of silly money - and home-made things have a lot of love in them!

Having said which, congratulations and all best wishes for your future together - he's a lucky bloke!
